Roger Bryan Stamey, age 53, of Brevard went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 17, 2019.

He was the son of the late Lester and Mildred Shelton Stamey.

Roger was a dedicated family man, loving husband and father. He was young at heart enjoying all types of music, video games, football and hockey. Roger served his community for more than 20 years with the Brevard and Little River Fire Departments. He was a man with a heart of gold and just an all around good guy.

Survivors include his loving wife, Joy Stamey, two sons, Jacob and Isaac Stamey, one daughter, Emily Stamey, two brothers, Pete Stamey and wife Kathy of Hendersonville and Eddie Stamey of Cedar Mountain, three sisters, Colita Barton and husband Kenneth of Brevard, Karen Stamey of Pisgah Forest and Lisa Moss and husband Dwayne of Brevard.

A Celebration of Life will be held 4pm, Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Cedar Mountain Baptist Church. The family will receive friends following the service.
