Obituary for Roy Dean Chapman
Rosman - Roy Dean Chapman, age 62, entered his eternal home on Monday, March 7, 2022.
He was born September 13, 1959 to the late Roy and Mabel 'Scrub' Chapman of Rosman, where he grew up and lived his whole life.
He was best known as 'Pop' to his five beautiful granddaughters that he adored. You could find him at the playground, riding bikes, hosting sleepovers, swimming, and just enjoying all the time he could spend with them. If he wasn't with his girls, he was spending his time with his 3 children that were his world, or whittling away making walking sticks.
Survivors include his children and grandchildren, son Jared (Jessica) Chapman of Rosman, children Kayden, Audrina, Adaleigh, and Ambrie; daughter Chelsea (Blake) Tesnow of Rosman and daughter Brynlee; daughter Bay Chapman of Brevard; and sister Debbie (Buddy) Duckett of Hendersonville, as well as many loving family members and friends.
This world was a better place with Pop in it. He was always giving more than he had and putting the needs of his family before his own. We will miss his crazy sense of humor, fried chicken, rhino rides, cuddles, and nightly phone calls or texts just checking in on us. Until we see him again one day, we know he's being held in the arms of our Savior.
A graveside service will be held 1pm, Monday, March 14, 2022 at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory.
