Shirley Lea Smith (nee Beck) Nov 26, 1939-Dec 20, 2020
Shirley was born and raised in French Lick, Indiana. After graduation, she did secretarial work and worked as a model. She married Mark when she was 20, and they lived all across the US and raised two daughters. She moved to Bedford, NY and worked as the general manager of a retail chain, where she met Stuart, the love of her life with whom she spent 35 wonderful years. They retired and moved to Florida for a few years, and then settled permanently in Brevard, NC. Stuart will dearly miss his sweet Shirl.
Shirley traveled widely across the US and in Europe. She enjoyed fashion, music, theater and art, and was an avid tennis player. She liked animals and nature, and spending time with friends and family.
She is predeceased by her parents and siblings, and is survived by her daughters, two granddaughters, two great grandsons, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is loved and will be missed by her family and friends.
