Stephen Morrow Souther, 63, of Little River, went to be with our Heavenly Father November 19, 2018.

He was the son of the late Sam Souther.

Steve grew up in Horseshoe, NC. He graduated from West Henderson High in 1973. He received his Associate's degree from Blue Ridge Tech to become a Machinist and worked at Ecusta for many years. Steve also worked with Bill Griffin Builders and Bradley Builders using his carpentry skills to help build and work on many houses in the community. Steve worked hard and enjoyed fixing anything from cars and things around the house to his grandchildren’s boo-boos. Steve’s two favorite hobbies included spending time with his family and bass fishing. He loved fishing tournaments and teaching his kids and grandkids how to fish.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 33 years, Linda Austin Souther; his son T.J. Souther and his wife Hannah; his daughter Sarah Bond, her husband Kell; and his three precious grandchildren Alina, Cooper and Luke Bond. He is also survived by his mother Shirley Cherrix and sister Gale Barnett and her husband Johnny. Steve will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 25, 2018, at Little River Baptist Church with Pastor Marc Reynolds and Sherwood Mackey officiating. The family will have a reception to visit with friends and family after the service.
