Obituary for Stephen Edward Warren
Stephen Edward Warren, age 77 of Brevard, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 3, 2019.
Mr. Warren was born in Haywood County, NC on February 10, 1942 to the late Gaston and Laura Bradley Warren. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his ten siblings.
A graduate of Canton High School, he attended Gardner Webb University. Mr. Warren retired from DuPont and the City of Brevard. He coached Little League baseball and refereed various sports in Transylvania County. He was a member of Glady Branch Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Sylvia Bardwell Warren; one daughter, Karen Putnam of Brevard; three sons; Stephen Edward Warren, Jr. and wife Vicki of Brevard, Ray Warren and wife Angie of Penrose, Roger Warren and wife Jenna of Brevard; four grandchildren, Stephen Edward Warren, III, Haley Putnam, Kyleigh and Bradley Warren.
A memorial service will be held at 3 PM Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Glady Branch Baptist Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
