Obituary for Steve Ray Dalton

Hendersonville - Steve Dalton, was born on October 2nd, 1952, and crossed the River to Life on February 25th, 2022, at his home in Horse Shoe, surrounded by his loving family.
Steve was best known for his generous heart and sense of humor; he was always more than willing to help anyone and everyone in need, always with a prank up his sleeve. He was the owner of Travel Diesel Service in Saluda for many years. After his retirement, he enjoyed spending more time with his family and friends, buying and selling at Smiley's Flea Market, hunting, and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Darlene Dalton (Kelly Orr, Hope Lefke, Felecia Greene); his father, Coy Dalton Sr.; his father-in-law, Lafoy Ball Sr.; and his beloved dog, She-She.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Harwood-Dalton; his mother, Nellie Dalton Bennett; his mother-in-law, Beulah Ball; his sister, Annette Pope (Mike; Brent and Jami), and brothers, Coy Dalton (Debbie; Jeff and Keri), and David Dalton (Debbie; Michelle and Laura); his sons, Trinity Dalton (Brittany Willis) and Richard Dalton, and his daughter, Allie Harwood; his grandchildren, Emerald and Garrett Dalton; his cat, Shitty Kitty; his extended family, Samantha Pressley (Mike; Jacob Dagenharht and Holden Davenport), Kristofer Davenport (Kelly; Hunter and Hayley); and loved ones, Johnny Stanley, Red Stepp, Bob Bennett, Wendy Gilbert, James Madden, Chipmunk Morrison, Thomas Hartle, Justin Owens, and many, MANY, more. Steve truly never met a stranger.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
