Obituary for Steven Mitchell Roth

Steven Mitchell Roth, 78, beloved husband, father and grandfather, drew his last breath after one loving kiss from his wife Magaly “Maggie” Roth on Monday, February 15, 2021. He is the son of Ernest A. Roth and Cornelia Richardson Roth, born in South Miami, FL.

Steven served this country during the Vietnam War. He was a proud City of Miami Police Officer. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Florida Atlantic University and Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Western Carolina University. He worked as a Registered Nurse at Mission Hospital 1998-2013.

He was a long time member of the Sports Car Club of America. He was an avid race car driver and enthusiast which he passed down to his sons and grandsons.

Steven followed in his father’s footsteps as a Masonic Brother. His home lodge was located in the Philippines on Clark Air Force Base. Steven was known for his sharp wit and equally good sense of humor. He always had time and a “kind” word for those that knew him.

Survivors include his wife Maggie, his sons Steven D. Roth and wife Ami of Pisgah Forest, NC; Patrick D. Roth and wife Lynn of Frisco, Tx; Nicholas F. Roth and fiance Nikki of Atlanta, Ga. Closest and loved sister Linda Kay Roth of Brevard, NC, Gail Paxton of South Florida, and Robert Roth of Brevard, NC. His closest grandchildren were Mitchell, Logan, and Kellan Roth and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held in the spring or summer. Donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior program.
