Obituary for Timothy Scott Drennen
Penrose - Timothy Scott Drennen , age 61, passed away unexpected at home April 7, 2021.
He was born August 21, 1959 in Charleston, WV to the late Gene Austin Drennen and Carol Craghead Drennen.
During Tim’s life journey, he took many career paths and wore many hats, all to support his greatest success his family. He lived by the thought, with family while we may not have much, we always have each other. There was nothing he wouldn’t do to see his family smile.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Suzanne Drennen, (some people want a love like Johnny and June but real love is like Timmy and Sue), two sisters, Robin Harwell Hensley (Bobby Harwell, (deceased) George) of Russellville, TN and Kimberly Drennen of Brevard, four children, Amanda Whitesides (Patrick) of Brevard, Rachel Clay (Aaron Foster) of Brevard, Corey Drennen (Deidra) of Penrose, and his baby girl, Ansley Drennen of the home, 13 grandchildren, Kalei Whitesides, Tristan Whitesides, John Whitesides “JQ”, Jayden Farley, Myiah Foster, Michelle Drennen, Emma Drennen, Madeline Drennen, Carol-Ann Drennen-Talley, Mark “Bubba” Jones Bruce “Brutal Jones” Isalynne Drennen, Everette Drennen Fisher and his great grandson, Zandyn Whitesides-Mathis. He had many other special people who he considered his children and they always held a special place in his heart. He was a dad to any that needed one, and a Papaw Tim to every child he ever met.
He always said his biggest heroes were his children and grandchildren, but Our greatest Hero will always be him.
A memorial service will be held 6pm, Monday, April 12, 2021 at Moody Connolly Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial donations to be made to Suzanne Drennen.
