Obituary for Wanda Whitlock (Galloway)
Wanda Galloway Whitlock, age 90, of Pisgah Forest passed away on Monday, April 15, 2019.
She was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Ethel Morris Galloway. She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Whitlock, Sr., sons, Harrison and Robert Whitlock, daughter, Marcia Whitlock Ashe, sisters, Augusta Fisher and Virginia Bennett.
Mrs. Whitlock was a wonderful Christian lady and a member of Turkey Creek Baptist Church. She was a faithful wife and a devoted mother and grandmother.
Survivors include three sons, Troy Whitlock, Jr. and wife Linda of Trenton, NJ, Mark Whitlock and wife Rita of Brevard and Tom Whitlock and wife Ruth of Brevard, grandchildren, Melissa, Dale, Chris, Michael and Amanda and many great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Turkey Creek Baptist Church roofing fund, 805 Capps Road, Pisgah Forest, NC 28768.
Graveside services will be held 11am, Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at Mount Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery. A Celebration of life will be held 2pm, Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at East Fork Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one our prior to the Celebration of Life at the church.
The family would like to thank Cedar Mtn. House and Care Partners Hospice for their wonderful care.
