Rosman– Our sweet mama, Willa Jean Morgan, made it home to glory on Friday, January 12, 2018! She is now with our Lord & Savior and is at peace.
Mama was a woman of faith…. a prayer warrior. She had a big family that loved her dearly as well as many others. As we grieve our loss, we are also celebrating her homecoming.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Grace Mathis Nicholson, her husband, Berlin Morgan, her son Stanley Morgan, her brothers, John C. and Furber Nicholson, and her sisters, Zula Alexander and Becky Wilson.
Survivors include her children, Portia Gravley (Gus), Kathy Stamey (Pete), Lydia Norris (Jim), Dane Morgan, Melinda Whitmire (Hank), and Mark Morgan (Cindy); her siblings, Florence Henline, Polly Crowe, Mae Franklin, Eunice Guffey; 20 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren.
A service will be held at 4 PM Monday, January 15, 2018 in the chapel of Moody-Connolly Life Celebrations, 181 S. Caldwell St., Brevard, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be private.
Memorials may be made to Fellowship Baptist Tabernacle, Pisgah Forest, NC, or to the Whitmire Cemetery Fund, Lake Toxaway, NC.
