Obituary for William Albert "Bill" Barton Jr.
William A Barton Jr, age 75 of Brevard, died peacefully the morning of Friday, April 19th.
He was a big man who lived a big life, and always on his own terms. There is nothing he loved more than his daughters.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Barbara Chapman Barton, two daughters, Jennifer L. Barton of Southport NC and Maria Barton Blust of Greensboro NC, the apple of his eye, his granddaughter, Barbara Virginia Blust also of Greensboro.
Bill was a force to be recognized in all he did. He was a loyal friend to those he befriended and stood by them whether helping to get a job done or helping create a rousing good time. He was a proud Marine, husband, father and friend. He was a proud man who truly did it his way.
There will be two Celebrations of Life services in the two towns where he lived his best life. The first will be held 1pm, Saturday, May 4, 2019 at the First United Methodist Church of Brevard followed by light refreshments and fellowship. The second service will be held 2pm, Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Guilford College United Methodist Church in Greensboro, NC followed by light refreshments and fellowship.
