Christine Ducker, 98, originally of Pisgah Forest, NC, died Saturday, February 26, 2022, at her residence in College Walk Retirement Community, Brevard, NC. She was born April 22, 1923, in Transylvania County to the late Ervin Mulenex and Pearl Allison Mulenex. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Sherman David Ducker; son Dennis David Ducker; daughter Patricia Ann Ducker (died at birth); four brothers: Ervin A. Mulenex, Bobby Mulenex, Wilburn Mulenex and Monday Mulenex; and four sisters: Louise Corn, Veora Cantrell, Lois Mulenex and Juanita Connor. Survivors include son Roger Ducker, his wife Dawn Crouse, and many nieces and nephews. She was a member of Turkey Creek Baptist Church. During her long life she was a wonderful, kind and loving Christian wife, mother, and friend to all who knew her. Moody-Connolly Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of cremation and burial at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory, alongside other loved ones who have gone on ahead. Due to the COVID pandemic, decisions about a celebration of life will be deferred until a later date. What a wonderful reunion Christine is having in Heaven! We are so happy that she is finally in her forever home, which she so longed for, with the Lord Jesus and among many loved ones. There is only one thing she will miss in Heaven, a McDonald's caramel frappe! Seeing one of these always brought a smile to her face.
