Brevard – Aileen Mahaffey Brown, age 99 passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2019. A native of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Fate and Annie Alexander Mahaffey. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph J. Brown. Mrs. Brown was a lifelong member of Turkey Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, James W. Brown and wife Paula of Montana, one daughter Edith Kitchen of Fletcher, one granddaughter, Tammy Welch and husband Dale of East Fork, two grandsons, Jeffery Kitchen of Fletcher and Kyle Kitchen of Fletcher, two great grandchildren, Jenifer Welch and Austin Kitchen and four step grandchildren.
