Aileen Bryson Riddle Brevard/Monroe – Aileen Bryson Riddle, 84, of Monroe formerly of Brevard went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 20, 2010 at Carillon Assisted Living at Indian Trail. A native of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Dewey and Winnifred Reid Bryson and was the wife of the late Phil Riddle. Mrs. Riddle and her husband formerly owned and operated Penrose Grocery. Surviving are her daughters, Phyllis Owen and husband Rev. Tommy Owen of Brevard, and Pam Whitson and husband Tony of Monroe; sister, Muriel Whitmire of Aiken, SC; grandchildren, David Owen and wife Pam of Sunset, SC, Lynn Eades and husband Roger of Brevard; Carol Culbertson and husband Danny of Easley, SC, Todd Bishop of Mills River, Scott Bishop and wife Jennifer of Monroe, and Shawn Whitson and wife Laura of Erwin, TN; six great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 12 noon Monday, August 23, 2010 in the Chapel of Moody-Connolly Funeral Home with the Revs. Tommy Owen and Mike Whitson officiating.
