Cedar Mountain– Albert E. Smith Perry, 83, a loving husband, dad, "pa", and great-grandpa, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 29, 2011.
A native of Transylvania County, he was the son of the late William B. Perry and Lillie Wilson Perry. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Milas and John Perry, sisters, Eloree Clark, Mary Raines, Lyda Pressley, Jane Reynolds, Carrie Murr Patterson, daughter-in-law, Sandy Perry, and grand-daughter, Cynthia Perry.
Mr. Perry attended Anchor Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Lois Stewart Perry; Children, Alan Perry and wife Desiree of Cedar Mtn., Jack Perry of Cedar Mtn., Pat Perry Thompson and husband Ernie of Old Fort, Barbara (Barbie) Perry Johnson and husband Ken of Little River, Karen Perry Murr and husband Travis of East Fork, and Kevin Perry and wife Melissa of Cedar Mtn.; 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday at Anchor Baptist Church with the Revs. Randy Barton, Don Waters, Alan Perry and Nathan Johnson officiating. Burial will be at McGaha Cemetery in Cedar Mountain.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 am Friday at the church.
