Obituary

Brevard - Albert Luck Shepherd III, beloved husband, father, and friend, died peacefully at his home on February 9, 2022 at the age of 80.

Luck was born in Talladega, Alabama to the late Addie Sue Waldrep and Albert Luck Shepherd, Jr. He grew up in Enoree, SC, where he was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He later attended Clemson University and received a degree in Forestry. After graduating, Luck worked at the Aeronautical Chart & Information Center in St. Louis, Missouri and then had a long-spanning career with International Paper Company in Holly Ridge, NC, Eulonia, GA and Georgetown, SC.

Luck was a natural outdoorsman, and loved hiking, fishing, and camping. Luck was also a member of Brevard Davidson River Presbyterian Church, and enjoyed volunteering his time to help others in need.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Janet Seay Shepherd, 4 children, 11 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.

A celebration memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Brevard Davidson River Presbyterian Church.
