Rosman – Alfred Thomas Morgan, 83, passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Transylvania Regional Hospital. A native of Transylvania County, he was the son of the late Harvey and Gracie Miller Morgan. He was also preceded in death by two children, Doug Morgan and Patricia Johnson, and two brothers. He was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are his wife, Mildred Galloway Morgan; Daughters, Sybil Nichols and husband Kenneth of Liberty, SC, Kathy Campbell of Seneca, SC, and Deborah Cheshire and husband Roy of Georgia; sons, Tony Morgan and wife Cindy of Pickens, SC, and Jimmy Morgan and wife Sheila of Liberty, SC; step-son, Joseph Rodgers of Rosman; one brother and four sisters; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, March 23, 2012 in the Moody-Connolly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Chester Chappell officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
