Alice Matney Lovin Brevard – Alice Matney Lovin, 77, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2013. She was a daughter of the late Frank Eugene and Belva Cox Matney. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Curtis Matney and grandson, John Michael Joyner. Alice volunteered as a nursing assistant at various medical facilities in Henderson County. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Brevard. Surviving is her husband of 56 years, James C. Lovin; daughter Pamela Sue Hill and husband James of Asheboro, NC; son, James Michael Lovin and wife Barbara of Tucker, GA; sister, Frances Eugenia Martin of Ashland, KY, granddaughter, Alexandra Nicole Hill. Funeral Services will be held, 1pm on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church of Brevard. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6pm-8pm on Monday, December 9, 2013 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home.
