Obituary

Allie Edwards Burrell Mack Brevard – Allie Edwards Burrell Mack, 94, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 26, 2013 at the Oaks of Brevard. A native of Macon County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Absalom and Daisy Baldwin Edwards. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, G. B. Burrell, her second husband, Ted Mack, son, Bruce Burrell, sisters, Louella Smith, Louise Gibson, and Gladys Tallent; brothers, Robert and John Edwards. Mrs. Mack was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church, had been active with the Transylvania County Board of Elections, and had been an Avon lady for many decades. Surviving are her son, Lewis Burrell of Brevard; daughter-in-law, Judy Burrell of Brevard; sisters, Wilma Roper of Franklin and Delma Starback of Arden; five grandchildren, Holly Stowe, Heather Burrell, Brett Burrell, Christopher Burrell, and Christy Burrell; four great-grandchildren, Sarah Brown, Katie Brown, Jordan Burrell and Griffin Burrell; several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Stephen Moore officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
