Pisgah Forest – Altha Fisher Netherton, age 81 went to be with the Lord Saturday, November 9, 2019. A native of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Dillie and Callie Thomas Fisher. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded by her husband Jerry Netherton, three brothers, John, Tony and Perry Fisher and two sisters, Doreen Chapman and Beatrice "Ducky" Mason. Mrs. Netherton was a devoted Christian who enjoyed gardening. She was also fond of her special companion, "Bailey". Survivors include one son, Landon Netherton and wife Velina of Pisgah Forest, one daughter, Derene Bracken and husband James of Brevard, 2 grandchildren who loving called her "Grandie", Luke and Leah. A Celebration of Life will be held 12PM, Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Calvary Road Baptist Mission with the Revs. Shane Greene and Brad Snipes officiating.
