Hendersonville – Ann Josephine Hubert Friday passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2012 at the age of 98. She was born on July 24, 1913 in New York City, NY to the late Julius and Mary Hubert. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Emory, daughter, Bonnie F. Vaniscak, and son, Emory Friday. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann Eubanks and husband Danny of Hendersonville; grandsons, Danny Eubanks, Jr. of Rosman and Darin Eubanks of Charlotte; sister-in-law, Elsie Friday of Pennsylvania; several nieces and nephews. Nursing was the profession that she thoroughly enjoyed. She was a Registered Nurse. Mrs. Friday was a 1935 graduate of Muhlenberg School of Nursing of Plainfield, NJ. She also loved being a homemaker. She was a terrific cook and will be remembered for her incredible apple pies. Her hobbies included crocheting and gardening. She was a member of the Brevard-Davidson River Presbyterian Church. She will be deeply missed by her family. The graveside service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory, formerly Pisgah Gardens, with the Rev. Ron Nelson officiating.
