IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Anthony Lee
Cornett
September 28, 1959 – August 16, 2025
Anthony Lee Cornett went home to be with our Lord and Savior August 16, 2025.
Born September 28, 1959 in Louisville, Kentucky, he was the son of Dicie Rider and the late David Cornett.
Tony was a loving son, husband, father, and Pepaw and was the rock for his adoring family.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Vickie Cornett. They had recently celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary in June. He is also survived by his three children, Danielle Blankenship and her husband Billy; Jonathan Cornett and his wife Jennifer and Ashley Demoss; his seven grandchildren, Deanna, Olivia, Aspyn, Eli, Jenna, Jonas and Liam and his great granddaughter, Hazel. He was a best friend and role model to his children. They admired his faith and actions every day from their earliest moments to his last breath. He was also a caring brother to his four brothers and sister, and loved their spouses and their children very much.
Tony worked for Cantrell Construction for 40 years and impacted so many lives on and off the job sites. He was a dedicated leader in his church (Deacon, Sunday School teacher, AWANA game director) and loved everyone that walked through the church doors, especially the children. He loved to encourage the word of God and prayed for salvation for anyone he met. He was a genuine, hard-working, fun, God loving, selfless man, and he will be missed by so many.
His life celebration will be held August 31 at 2pm at Cedar Mountain Baptist Church. The family has asked that instead of flowers, donations be sent to Cedar Mountain Baptist Church.
