Obituary

Brevard - Arlene Grimes Tromba passed away peacefully in her sleep at 4:40 a.m. on February 10, 2023.

She was born in Washington, D.C. and resided on Temple Terrace, Florida for more than 45 years where she was very involved with the Friendship Club and was President of XI Theta Upsilon.

Arlene was the Secretary of Volunteer services for Saint Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, Florida.

She is predeceased by her mother, Louise Meredith, father, John Meredith, husband, Joseph E. Tromba, new born son, John David, daughter, Sharleen Elsasser Stannis and brother in law, Maurice Schurr.

Survivors included sister, Jean Schurr, daughter, Cheryl Altman, son in law, Marc Altman, grandchildren, Tiffany, Lauren, Nathan and great grandchildren, Jude & Iris, daughter, Julie Hulley, son in law, Bob Hulley, grandchildren, Jesse, Hannah and R.J., son Richard L. Grimes II and grandchildren, Courtney, Susannah and Sophie.

Family visitation will be held at Moody Connolly Funeral Home, Brevard, N.C. on February 14, 2023.

Arlene's final resting place will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Thonotosassa, FL.
