Hendersonville - Austin Vernon Gosnell, 62, passed away at his home on Monday, November 10, 2025.

He was the son of the late Patricia Grooms Gosnell.

Austin loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, always looking for that next "Big Buck". He loved spending time with his family, especially his wife Cindy. You could find them most weekends selling at the flea market where he gave away more than he sold. Austin had a heart of gold and a smile to light up any room. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Traveling with him was an adventure. He could meet a stranger and talk for hours. He always had a joke to tell and enjoyed making folks laugh. Austin was the best husband and a good friend to all those who knew him. He has left a large void in the lives of so many. He was truly one of a kind. Cindy always says, "the mold was broken after Austin was born!"

Survivors include the love of his life, his wife of 42 years, Cynthia Lowe Gosnell, father, Bruce Gosnell of Hendersonville, brother, Carroll Gosnell(Janie) of Penrose, sister, Donna Fair of Maumee, OH.

Memorial services will be held 2pm, Sunday, November 16, 2025 at Holly Springs Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
