Bernice Kell Bond, 73, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 8, 2010 at Transylvania Regional Hospital. Born in Mountain City, GA, she was the daughter of the late Matthew and Ida Dryman Kell and was the wife of the late Hoyt Bond. She was also preceded in death by ten siblings. Mrs. Bond was retired from the Food Services Dept. of DuPont Corp. Surviving are her daughter, Karen Batson of Penrose; son, Keith Bond and wife Cathy of Penrose; sister, Jean White of Toccoa, GA; grandchildren, Kory Batson, Kesy Batson, Shasta Deaver, and Kell Bond; great-grandson, Dagan Batson; several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, March 11, 2010 in the Chapel of Moody-Connolly Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Pfister officiating. Burial will be in Pisgah Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
