Betty Jean Daves, age 82, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2019. Mrs. Daves was born on March 11, 1937 in Transylvania County, NC to the late Sam and Mae Gray. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Willam Walker Daves; two sons, Hank and Tony Daves; one daughter, Elsie Jean Warren; four brothers and two sisters. She was a member of Selica Church of God. Survivors include her daughter, Sharon Ann Smith and husband Stephen of Brevard; her sons, Keith Daves, Sr. and wife Fena', and Timothy Coleman Daves and wife Patricia all of Brevard; her sister, Jo Allen of Hendersonville; eleven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at 2 PM Sunday, November 3, 2019 in the Moody-Connolly Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Shoal Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
