Betty Caroline Galloway Guilliams passed away peacefully early on the morning of September 2nd, 2022, at the age of 92.

The daughter of the late Josiah and Ila Galloway, Betty was born and raised in Jackson County, NC. She is preceded in death by her devoted husband of 60 years, James S. Guilliams, and her siblings Tillmon Galloway, Andrew Galloway, Walter Galloway, Gertrude Queen, Inez Owen, Ella Owen, her grandson Bret Stewart, and her great-grandson, Joshua Jacob Chavez.

Betty is survived by her sisters Lillian Staton (Eugene), Edith McCall; her children Shirley Daniels (Jim), Becky Lance (Mark), Jim Guilliams (Kay); her grandchildren Jenny Chavez (Marcelo), Lindsey Guilliams, Kayla Guilliams, Aireonna Lance, Adrielle Lance; and her great-grandchildren, Alex Stewart, Barron Stewart, Elia Chavez; and a number of nephews and nieces.

Betty lived a full life. She grew up loving and singing gospel music. She loved her family, and she cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held at 11am Monday, September 5th, 2022, at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home. Service will follow at 12pm at Moody-Connolly before proceeding to Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory.
