Jean Clampitt Hollingsworth of Charlotte, formerly of Pisgah Forest, died peacefully on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Presbyterian hospital in Charlotte. Born in Swain County, NC on April 28, 1930 to the late William "Bill" Clampitt and the late Edna Breedlove Clampitt, Mrs. Hollingsworth grew up in Almond and later in Rosman, NC. She lived a long life as an exceptional wife, mother and homemaker in the truest sense of the word. She passed down her strong morals to her sons and granddaughters. Mrs. Hollingsworth is survived by her husband of 65 years, Vick Hollingsworth; their sons Gary of Denver NC, and Dwight and wife Sarah of Matthews, NC and two grandchildren, Victoria and Elizabeth Hollingsworth of Matthews, NC., and her sister, Jessie Clampitt Crane of Brevard. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your favorite charity as she firmly believed in sharing your blessings with others.
