Betty Gail Murphy, age 77 of Rosman, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2020. Miss Murphy was born on March 24, 1942 in Transylvania Co., NC to the late Eugene and Lena Love Murphy. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Brenda Gantt and Phyllis Thomas, and one brother, Larry Murphy. She had been employed by Kent Manufacturing in Pickens, SC and was retired from Coats North American in Rosman. Miss Murphy loved listening to WGCR Radio and she love the Country Skillet in Rosman, their employees and patrons. Survivors include two sisters, Myra Vial and husband Robert of Rosman and Geralene Raines of Pickens, SC; two brothers-in-law, Bobby Scott Thomas and John "Bud" Gantt; several nieces and nephews.
