Betty Hogsed (Compton) Sanford, 98, passed away peacefully at home on October 12, 2024.

A lifetime resident of Dunn's Rock Community, Transylvania County, NC. Betty was a devout Christian, loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She is survived by her children; Gary (Roberta) Compton, Lori (Rick – deceased) Compton and Janet (Dale) Robertson; grandchildren, Joshua (Sara) Freeman, Amy Freeman, Noah (Renee) Compton, Shannon (Heather) Compton, Peyton (Jon) Smathers and Grayson Compton; great grandchildren; Hazel and Isabelle Freeman, Alyssa, Adlai and Analeigh Marquez, Hannah, Hunter and Hollyn Compton, Will, Miles and Ramona Compton.

Services will be held at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home on Friday October 18, 2024, at 2:00pm. Visitation starts one hour prior to service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Carr's Hill Cemetery Fund at 2719 Greenville Hwy., Brevard, NC 28712 or to a charity of your choice.
