Betty Metcalf Valentine, 72, of Brevard passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Rumbo and Christine Gosnell Metcalf. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Metcalf and a sister, Sandra Ellis. Mrs. Valentine loved trivia, cooking, singing and fishing with her husband in the forest. She had a warm heart and a home full of laughter and love and always had words of wisdom and encouragement to light anyone's soul in need. She made a difference in all of the lives she touched and was a shoulder to all no matter where they were in life. She was beauty. She was love. She was home. Survivors include the love of her life for 52 years, Jerry Lee Valentine, daughters; Tammy Valentine and son in law, David Bonomo of Hendersonville, Darla Valentine of Brevard, Krista Valentine Kelley and husband Tim of Brevard and Ashley Lavery of Brevard, grandchildren; Big Cody, Cacy (Arturo), T. J. , Jessalyn, Colby (Amber), Zack, Middle Cody, Alexandra(Tyler), Cimberly and Victoria, great grandchildren; Kaiden, Jaxin, Brea, Little Cody, Brody, Riley, Jacob, Juliette, Onalee and Isabela. Funeral Services will be held 2pm, Monday, July 24, 2017 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory.
