Brevard –Betty Louise Pruitt Woodring, 77, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 11, 2016. A native of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Bob and Agnes Collins Pruitt and was the wife of the late Joseph Worley Woodring, Jr. She was also preceded in death by her daughters, Martha Jean Woodring and Kandy Ledford, sisters, Aretta Pressley, Alma Merrill, and Thelma Devore; brother-in-law, Anthony Burgess. Surviving are her daughters, Shirley Woodring Young (Karl Powell) of Rosman, Brenda Woodring Winebarger (Cliff) of Gulfport, MS, Sandy Woodring Houck (Derek) of Brevard; son, Jody Woodring (Dani) of Gulfport, MS; sister, Margaret Burgess of Brevard; brothers, Albert Pruitt and Bobby Pruitt both of Lincolnton, NC; 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, March 15, 2016 in the Moody-Connolly Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Little River Baptist Church Cemetery.
