Billie Stamey Bolt Brevard – Billie Stamey Bolt, 76 went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 18, 2010 at Transylvania Regional Hospital. A native of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late James Noble Stamey and Clara Beatrice Campbell Stamey. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Lea Lisa Bolt, brother, Harold Lee Stamey, sister, Betty Stamey Foster, and infant great-grandson, Brett Norris. Mrs. Bolt was a 1952 graduate of Brevard High School where she was on the Miss Brevardier Court, Homecoming Court, Square Dance Team, and the Basketball Team. She was a member of the Sylvan Squares smooth square dance team. She had been employed at Ecusta in the Finishing Dept. and later worked in the cafeteria at Straus Elementary School and then for Mackie Food Distribution at Ecusta. She was a member of the Brevard Wesleyan Church. Surviving are her husband J.D. Bolt of the home; two daughters, Lynne Bolt Worley of Brevard and Denise Bolt Zeuner of Fairview; six grandchildren, Melissa Sullivan and husband Gary and Mike Southerland and wife Kelly all of Leicester, Shane Worley and wife Kyle of Penrose, John Southerland and wife Cassondra of Swannanoa, Anthony Worley and wife Leah and Justin Worley and wife Misty all of Brevard; thirteen great-grandchildren, Cecilee and Sydney Norris, Skye, McKenna, Eden and Michael Southerland, J.J., Paige, Harlee and Sadie Southerland, Addison Worley, Charlie Worley, and Peyton Worley, and baby Worley due in Oct.; brother, Jerry Stamey and wife Martha of Brevard; two brothers-in-law, Erby Bolt and wife Inola, and Ben Bolt all of Pisgah Forest; two sisters-in-law, Anna Leslie and husband Phil of Pisgah Forest, and Ruth Rose of Brevard; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and aunts. The funeral service will be held at 3 pm Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at the Brevard Wesleyan Church with the Revs. David Blackburn, Hank Moffitt, and Morris Davis officiating. Burial will be in Pisgah Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 until 3 pm Wednesday at the church. Memorials may be made to TRH Hospice, Brevard, NC
