Birdell Phillips Garren, 89, departed her physical life on earth to enter her spiritual life in heaven on Monday, June 5, 2017. She was born November 27 1927 to the late Hester W. and Hattie M. Phillips. She was preceded in death by her husband; Earl G. Garren and nine siblings. Birdell took pride in being a loving wife, mother and grandmorther. She was known for her dog grooming business and was an avid doll collector. Survivors include her sons Randy E. Garren of Apex, NC and Terrell N. Garren of Concord, NC, two sisters; Juanita McCall of Mills River and Kathleen Collins of Brevard, one brother; Kermit Phillips of Mills River and twin grandsons; Ben and Brandon. Funeral services will be held 2pm, Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home with celebrant Gatha Dickson officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory.
