Pisgah Forest – Blanche Nicholson McCall, 71, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 11, 2012 at the Elizabeth House, Flat Rock, NC. A native of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Mildred Allison Nicholson. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Vivian Galloway, and her brothers, Boyce and Howard Nicholson. Mrs. McCall was a member of Blantyre Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Calvin F. McCall; son, Michael Eugene McCall and wife Wanda of Penrose; daughter, Debbie McCall Brown and husband Spencer of Penrose; sisters, Mary Jane Bailey and husband Loyd of Brevard; Betty Robinson and husband Glenn of Pisgah Forest; brothers, Bruce Nicholson and wife Helen of Penrose, and Randall Nicholson and wife Linda of Enumclaw, WA; grandchildren, Amber Taylor and husband Daniel, Michael McCall and wife Courtney , Joshua Brown and wife Kristin, Jon Brown and wife Heather, and Tiffany Brown; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Hailey Taylor, and Walker and Harleigh Brown; a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 16, 2012 in the Moody-Connolly Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Ron Nelson, Tommy Owen, and Mike Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. At other times the family will be at the home.
