Bobby Joe "Bob" Tipton Pisgah Forest – Bobby Joe "Bob" Tipton, 77, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2011 in Atlanta, GA. A native of Buncombe County, he was the son of the late William Carl Tipton and Rea Carroll Tipton. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Ray Tipton. Mr. Tipton was a member of Temple Baptist Church and he was a U. S. Army Veteran. He was retired from E. I. DuPont. Surviving are his wife, Mildred Clark Tipton; daughter, Pam Tippett of Alpharetta, GA; son, Jody Tipton and wife Diane of Hoschton, GA; brother, Duck Tipton and wife Shirley of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Connor and Max Tippett, and Noah and Marcus Tipton. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Friday, April 8, 2011 at Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. James Hartley officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Temple Baptist Church, 5 Temple Church Rd., Brevard, NC 28712.
