Obituary

Bonnie Petit Aiken "Gran", age 92, of Rosman passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at her home. She was born July 15, 1931, to the late Otto and Ida Petit.

She was predeceased by her only husband Charles Aiken, Grandson Hunter Aiken, Granddaughter Andrea Aiken, all her siblings, Charles, Joe, Leo, Frank, Reba, and Polly.

She is survived by her only child Andy Aiken, daughter-in-law Robin Aiken, grandson Bodie Aiken, step grandson, Hunter Rutledge all of Rosman, great granddaughter (her heart), Braelyn Hoskyns of South Carolina, sister-in-law, Ann Petit, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Bonnie always worked around food. She worked as the Cafeteria Manager at Rosman Elementary for many years. She always grew a vegetable garden and enjoyed it. She just couldn't wait to get in that garden! She loved to cook and feed anybody or anything, even the dogs that didn't belong to her. Most of all, she loved her family, and she will be missed terribly.

In her Honor and Request, the family will have a graveside service at Galloway Cemetery on Monday, May 13, 2024, at 2 PM. Her pastor, Nate Whited of Zion Baptist Church, where she was a lifelong member, will officiate the service, along with Pastor Chester Chappell.
