Bonnie Marie Blankenship Arrowood, age 79, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Nicholson Creek Road in Brevard, NC on Friday, November 27, 2009.

She was a member of Destiny Fellowship Church in Brevard.

She is survived by her sons, Chuck and Brad Arrowood of Wilmington, NC, and her daughter, Jeannie Smith of Brevard, and by her beloved grandchildren: Hazel Arrowood and Chris and Casey Arrowood of Wilmington, and Bonnie and Loren Smith of Brevard. She is also survived by her sisters: Pearl Gosnell, Ollie Mae Sizemore, Evelyn Smith, Maxine Hyatt, and Jewell Mimms.

She was preceded in death by her husband James Robert Arrowood, brothers Woodrow, Ray and Carl Blankenship, and her sisters Willa Faye Foster and Leona Hensley.

A visitation will be held at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home on Caldwell Street in Brevard, Monday November 30, 2009 at 9:45 a.m., with the funeral service immediately following at 11:00 a.m. A graveside service will be held afterward at Pisgah Gardens Cemetery in Pisgah Forest.
