Brenda Murphy Gantt, age 60 of Brevard died Wednesday October 27, 2010 at Pardee Hospital. She was born May 1,1950 in Transylvania County to the late Eugene Murphy and Lena Love Murphy. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother Larry Eugene Murphy. Mrs. Gantt was a member of Midway Bible Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband John Allen "Bud" Gantt of the home, four sisters; Geralene Raines of Pickens SC, Betty Murphy, Phyllis Thomas and her husband Bobby and Myra Vial and her husband Robert all of Rosman, five nephews, one niece, three great nieces and one great nephew. Funeral services will be held Saturday October 30, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Ray Aiken, Rev. Allen Aiken and Rev.Tommy Owen. Interment will follow at Galloway Memorial Park. Visitation will be Friday evening from 7:00pm – 9:00pm at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be: Denton Gravely, Chris Moody, Craig Rice, Eddie Dodson, Chris Thomas and Shane Greene.
