Brenda Louise Curlee Holden, 79, of Mills River went to be in the arms of her Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, October 29th, 2026

A native of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Ellis and Mary Hilda Cox Curlee. She was a graduate of Brevard High School and Blue Ridge Community College.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Richard Allen Holden , Sr. 3 brothers Lewis Earl, Edward Leon and Barry Ellis Curlee. 1 daughter -in-law, Roxie Lance. 2 sisters-in-law, Kathy and Carol Curlee. 1 brother-in-law, Rayburn Selvage. 2 nephews, Troy Drye and Brandon Binkley.

Survivors include 1 son Brandon Michael Lance (Karen), 1 stepson Richard Holden , Jr. 3 granddaughters, Kayla Daves (Clay), Brittany and Mae Holden. 3 grandsons Kamden Lance(Karaline), Chace Ross and Ty Holden. 2 step grandsons, Chase Owen (Amber) and Chad Owen (Courtney). 6 great grandchildren Cayson Daves, Lydia, Colton, Zoey, Kalista and Oliver Owen. 1 sister Doris Curlee Selvage. 2 sisters by heart Delores Dodson and Margaret Long. There are a number of nieces and nephews. Several that she spent many joyous years with, Jurell and Cindy Hand, Chris and Stephanie Huffstetler, Ellis and Jessica Curlee and Jennifer Curlee Bridges.

Celebration of life will be on Saturday, November 7th at the Brevard Church of God 91 McLean Rd. Visitation will be from 11-12 followed by the service at 12 p.m.
