Rachel "Brenda" Glenn, 68, of Mills River , our beloved mother, went home to be with the Lord on February 11, 2023.
Brenda was born on February 19, 1954 in Henderson County to Posey Bascombe Glenn and Eloise Ruth Glenn. She was a 1972 graduate of West Henderson High School and a lifelong member of Words of Life Tabernacle in Avery's Creek.
Brenda was a joyful light to all who knew her. She loved to laugh, to sing with her sisters, and to clog and dance. She taught her children to have a firm and unshakable faith in the personal Savior of Jesus Christ.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother James Edward Glenn.
She is survived by her children Geoffrey Bishop (Jaime Laughter) of Pisgah Forest and Jennifer Bishop Smith (Dusty), and her grandchildren Bella, Mady, Sam, Wyatt, Morgan, James, and Luke. Additionally, she is survived by her loving siblings David Glenn (Eva), Mary Stewart (Thaylon), Rebecca Nesbitt (Jack), and sister-in-law, Cheryl Glenn. Also left to cherish her memory are many nieces and nephews, with whom she had close and dear friendships.
A graveside service will be held on February 18th at 2:00 pm at the Words of Life Tabernacle cemetery. Pastor Carl Bishop and Pastor Thomas Glenn will officiate. Memorials may be made to Moody Connolly Funeral Home of Brevard and Etowah Florist.
