Penrose - Bruce Ball of Penrose, NC, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2022.

Bruce was born on April 9, 1952, in Marshall, NC. He is preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of fifty years, Donna. Also left behind are his daughter Amanda Metcalf, her husband Brent, his adoring granddaughters Marley Ruth and Farrah Blake, and his granddog and buddy Copper. Three brothers, Wayne Ball (Ruby), Norman Ball (Vera), and Ed Smith, along with many loved nephews and nieces, will miss him.

Bruce's hobbies included restoring cars, working in his garage, watching his granddaughters play softball or participate in anything they loved, vacationing in the Outer Banks, and car rides with his wife Donna and dear friends Mike and Debbie Taylor exploring our beautiful mountains.

The church is a body of believers living out the Gospel through their words and actions. It is with the deepest gratitude that the family would like to thank Christ Church of the Valley and The Table Transylvania for pointing Bruce to Christ and loving him well. He is now at peace with his Savior.

In memory of Bruce and in lieu of flowers, Mrs. Ball has asked that donations be made to The Table Transylvania.

Funeral services will be held at Little River Baptist Church on November 28, 2022 at 2pm. Visitation will begin at 1 pm, with the memorial and graveside to follow.
