Rosman – Bruce Hermon Chappell, 81, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 30, 2015. He was the son of the late George and Tilda Morgan Chappell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Polly Holcomb Chappell, three sisters and four brothers. Mr. Chappell enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting and fishing. He was a member of Old Toxaway Baptist Church. He was very proud of his children and their service to the Lord and dearly loved his grandchildren. Surviving are his sons; Rev.Bradley Chappell and wife Susan of Rosman, Kelvin Chappell and wife Melissa of Asheville, daughters; Susan Lambert and Husband Rev. Tony of Rosman and Darlene Fanning and Husband Rev. Steven of Rosman and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2pm, Monday, October 5, 2015 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home with the Revs. Tony Lambert and Greg Camp officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 4, 2015 from 7pm – 9pm at the funeral home.
