Bryan David Hoffman, age 38, of Pisgah Forest died Suddenly Sunday, January 29, 2012. He was born July 17, 1973 at Bethesda Naval Hospital in Bethesda Maryland to his parents David Hoffman of Pisgah Forest and Barbara Hoffman of Etowah.
He was a 1991 graduate of Brevard High School and attended Chowan University in Murfreesboro North Carolina. He was employed for many years by Transylvania Vocational Services in Brevard. Bryan had a love of sports, particularly his UNC Tarheel Basketball Team, Redskin Football as well as the Atlanta Braves, all of which he shared enthusiastically with family and friends his whole life.
Survivors in addition to his parents include; one sister Melanie Mace of Etowah a niece Skylar Mace of Etowah, his Uncle Donald Hoffman and his wife Debbie, cousins Geoff and Sarah, his great Aunt Ruth Hayden all of New York and a second cousin James Derby of Georgia.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Wednesday February 1, 2012 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Rick Pocock and Rev. Marcus Dodson. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Garden of Memories. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be; Jason Smith, Walt Taylor, Brian Biesecker, Jeff Mace, David Sales and Jackie Compton.
