Brevard – Carl Dean Harris, 55, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2015. A native of Transylvania County, he was the son of the late Carl Albert Harris and Carolyn Ann Batson Harris. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Lynn Harris. Mr. Harris loved classic muscle cars. He always put others first and he loved his family, sacrificing for them in everything he did. Surviving are his wife, Sherrie Lynn Gray Harris; sons, Drew Harris and wife Katy of Hendersonville, Trace Aiken of Rosman, and Aaron Harris of Rosman; sisters, Darla Slonecker of Brevard, Treva Morgan and husband Kevin of Pisgah Forest, Audrey Harris of Mars Hill, NC, and April Taylor and husband Robert of Crestview, FL; granddaughter, Molly Paige Harris. The funeral service will be at 3 PM Sunday, November 22, 2015 at Shoal Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Morgan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
