Carole Lee Capps, 77, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2026 at Transylvania County Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Carole was born on May 17th, 1948, to Beatrice and Howard Capps of Etowah, NC, where she was raised and lived for most of her life.
Carole, known for her clever wit, quick sense of humor, and her fierce love of family, is affectionately called "Grammy." She is now reunited in heaven with her mother, Beatrice Owens Capps, father, Howard Capps, Brother, Howard Randall Capps, and Sons, Jodie Hartley Day and David William Gaddy.

She is survived by brother, Bruce Capps, daughter, Janice Buckner Day; grandchildren, Corey Gaddy & wife, Kayla Gaddy,
Dakota Gaddy Motes & husband, Phillip Motes, Blake Gaddy & fiance, Emma Lowe, Brittany Day Lowman & husband, Robert Lowman, Abbi Day, and Michael Day; Great-grandchildren, Alexandria Gaddy, Hensley Gaddy, Benjamin Lowman, and Lincoln Lowman; Niece and nephew, Christine Gallagher and Mark Capps, along with many more beloved family members.

A Graveside Service will be held at a Oak Forest Cemetery in Etowah on Saturday, March 7th, 2026 at 2:00 p.m
