Carolyn Lynn McCall Lund, aged 63 passed away unexpectedly on April 22, 2024. She was a beloved mother, wife, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Carolyn was born on September 6, 1960 in Balsam Grove, NC. Carolyn grew up in the small town of Lake Toxaway, NC with seven brothers and sisters and her parents Annie and Vessie McCall. Carolyn was a graduate of Rosman High School and later received her CDL license and became a career truck driver. Throughout her career, she was known for her hard work, dedication, and passion for helping others.

But more than anything, Carolyn was a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her children, sharing stories, playing games, and watching their favorite TV shows. She was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter what challenges they faced.

In her free time, Carolyn enjoyed spending time with her animals and playing Bingo at the local community centers. Anyone who knew Carolyn, knew they could stop by anytime and she would always be willing to chat and help with any situation. We will cherish the memories of her and know we will see her again.

Carolyn is survived by her loving husband, John Jacob Lund Jr, her children, John Jacob Lund III (Katelyn), and Eric Sarge Lund, and her grandchildren, John Jacob Lund IV, Lucas Scott Lund, Ethan Alexander Lund, Betty Ann Lund, Logan Jackson Lund and her siblings Kenneth and Robert McCall, and Diane Miller.

A Celebration of Life will be held for family and close friends at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home in Brevard, NC on  May 4th, 2024 at 1pm, followed by an intimate graveside service at Oak Grove Cemetery in Lake Toxaway, NC.
