Carolyn Marie O'Shields Brevard – Carolyn Marie O'Shields, 68, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at her residence. A native of Transylvania County, she was preceded in death by her husband, E. Edward O'Shields. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Surviving are her mother, Dora Wines of Brevard; sister, Janie Maxwell of Hendersonville; children, Stephanie O'Shields of Mills River, Stephen O'Shields of Brevard, and Lisa Riddle of Pisgah Forest; grandchildren, Leslie Corn of Brevard, Blake and Alex O'Shields of Pisgah Forest, Eric O'Shields of Etowah, and Kisa Riddle of Pisgah Forest; great-grandchildren, Colton Lowery of Mills River and Kinslee O'Shields of Etowah. The graveside service will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 PM Tuesday at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home.
