It is with deep sorrow and much sadness that we announce the passing of Carrie Irene Lewis Leopard, a devoted wife, cherished mother, beloved friend, and faithful servant of Christ, who entered her Heavenly home on June 5, 2025 at the age of 56.
Carrie was a dedicated employee of First Citizens Bank for many years where she brought not only her professional excellence, but also her warmth compassion and integrity. Her kind spirit and dependable nature made a lasting impact on her colleagues and clients alike.
Carrie was a woman of remarkable strength and unwavering faith. Carrie found her greatest joy in her family. She was a loving wife to her devoted husband, Ray and a deeply caring mother to her precious son, Dalton. Her life was a testament of selflessness, unconditional love, patience, and grace. Carrie was a fierce advocate for children and adults with special needs, a tireless nurturer, and a constant source of light to her family and community.
Carrie was a member of Midway Baptist Church. Carrie's faith in Jesus Christ guided every step of her journey. She lived each day with a servants heart, always ready to pray, encourage, listen, and extend kindness to those around her. She cherished her many vacations to Pigeon Forge, TN with her husband and son, especially loving Cades Cove. Her legacy of faith, love, and resilience will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Carrie was preceded in death by her mother, Deloris McCall and her father, Allen Whisenant. Carrie is survived by her husband, Ray Leopard, her son, Dalton Leopard, her brothers Mark Lewis Sr. (Ronda), Andrew Whisenant (Felicia), David Whisenant (Dennie), her father and mother in law Gerald and Ellen Leopard, sister in law Annette McCall (Greg) and many nieces, nephews, and family members who will carry her memory in their hearts.
The family will be having services on Monday, June 9th at Midway Baptist Church with receiving of friends at 1 pm and funeral beginning at 2 pm. Graveside services are immediately following at Blue Ridge Garden of Memory. All are welcome to attend and honor the beautiful life she lived.
In lieu of flowers donations are greatly appreciated to help cover any unpaid medical expenses.
