Cecil Edward Lowery Brevard – Cecil Edward Lowery, 74, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2014. He was the son of the late Julian and Inez Puckett Lowery. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Ryder Lowery and his grandson, Casey Lea Lowery. Cecil was a former running back for Brevard High School and the University of Georgia. He was also a Golden Gloves boxer. He loved his family dearly and had a special love for his grandchildren. He will be miss by all who knew him. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Connie Owens Lowery, two sons; Eddie Lowery and Dana Patterson Lowery of Brevard and Christopher Lowery of Brevard, two brothers; Irbyan Lowery and wife June of Brevard and Bill Lowery and wife Ann of Boiling Springs, SC, four grandchildren Tina Hudson, Austin, Olivia, and Jesse Lowery and one great grandchild, Colton Lowery. A Memorial service will be held 2pm, Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
